Reliable and Accurate Detection of Opiates via Urine Testing

Overview of the Test

The Opiate Test (Urine) provides precise and reliable detection of opiates in urine, measuring metabolites with a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml. Ideal for personal, legal, or workplace requirements, initial results are delivered within 1–2 working days*. Confirmatory testing is conducted for positive results, requiring an additional 5 working days.

Why It Would Be Used

This test is suitable for individuals and organisations requiring accurate opiate detection:

  • Legal Purposes: Provides admissible evidence for court cases or legal compliance.
  • Workplace Testing: Ensures adherence to drug-free workplace policies and occupational standards.
  • Personal Reassurance: Confirms recent opiate use for health monitoring or family concerns.

Our laboratory-certified testing ensures accuracy, discretion, and reliability.

Cut-Off Level and Confirmatory Testing

  • Initial Test: Detects opiate metabolites with a cut-off level of 300 ng/ml.
  • Positive Results: Confirmatory testing is performed for all positive results to ensure accuracy.
  • Turnaround Time: Confirmatory testing adds an additional 5 working days.

This two-step approach guarantees precise and court-admissible results.

Period of Detection

The Opiate Test (Urine) identifies opiates within 1–3 days of use, depending on factors such as:

  • Frequency and quantity of use.
  • Individual metabolism and hydration levels.

Proof of ID Requirement

To ensure compliance and traceability, you must provide valid photo ID (e.g., passport or driving licence) during your appointment. This ensures results meet legal and professional standards.

Please note that copies of IDs or those shown on mobile phones are not accepted.

Results

Results are securely delivered via Email. All results are supervised by a doctor before being issued.

Please note that results cannot be given over the phone as the identity of the caller cannot be verified.

  • Negative Results: Delivered within 1–2 working days*.
  • Confirmatory Testing: Adds an additional 5 working days if positive results.

*Note: Turnaround time may vary slightly depending on sample collection time.

How it works

1. Please enter the name(s) and date of birth(s) of the person(s) taking the test at the top of the page. These details are essential to uniquely identify your sample by the laboratory and you will be unable to proceed further without them.

2. Pay online by credit or debit card.

3. Initially, you will receive an automatic reply to confirm that we have received your instructions.

4. Your test request will then be processed between 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Once processed, you will receive a text message and email to confirm that you can now attend Patient Reception to have the test. Please wait for this confirmation before making your way to Patient Reception, otherwise they will be unaware that you will be attending.

5. You can attend Patient Reception at any time during opening hours of 7am-7pm, Monday-Friday, and 7am-1pm on Saturday. It is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. The only exception is for Chain of Custody tests as these need an appointment.

7. Make sure to bring an original photo ID such as a passport or driving license. A copy or phone image is not acceptable.

8. Results will be sent by email as soon as they are available.

Date of Birth Requirement

All laboratories need information regarding the client to identify their individual sample.

Tests cannot be done without these details.

You can enter these details securely above. Personal details are subject to GDPR according to our Privacy Policy. Alternatively, you can email these to us at: enquiry@drugtest.london
